My automotive client in Leamington Spa are looking for a CAE Team Leader to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities:

Report into the Head of Engineering, this role will lead all aspects of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) to deliver company’s targets.

To support the Head of Engineering in the creation and review of the Body Engineering (BE) roadmap.

Provision of the CAE resources and expertise to the end to end customer programme delivery.

Responsible for the BE department P&L, business plan, budgets and costing.

Lead business development activities within his/her responsible technical discipline(s) and support on other business development activities of the company.

Project planning and managing of all CAE project(s) and work package(s).

Manage and develop CAE team’s capabilities and performance to meet and exceed the current and future challenges set by the business, including people development, retention, and succession planning.

Maximize the technical capabilities of the staff to make sure every member of the team is a technical expert in his/her field with excellent project delivery skills.

Collaborate closely with other technical teams globally to develop integrated automotive engineering solutions and offer client global capabilities in UK.

Other tasks as assigned by manager.

Requirements:

Educated to Degree level in Engineering.

Experience in successfully managing engineers towards challenging technical and safety requirements.

Experienced in CAE technical knowledge, Simulation and Analysis tools and processes with an awareness of non-structural CAE tools such as multibody analysis or CFD.

Significant previous experience in automotive product development.

Driven and have a passion for delivering challenging projects.

Excellent communication skill, have the ability to lead and motivate teams and work cross functionally.

Excellent presentation skills in both a business development capacity and as a means of providing project status to the customer.

A natural mentor and coach who values personal relationships across the whole business.

Well organised and delivery focused – with demonstrable track record of on-time delivery in a high pressure environment.

Salary Negotiable pending experience
