Full time, 35.5 hours per week - Days

Shift times: Early shift 7.15am - 3.15pm, Late shift 3pm - 10pm. Requirement to work some weekend shifts and bank holidays.

We are looking for a Team Leader to join our CQC outstanding home in Axbridge. You will motivate and supervise your team of Support Workers, ensuring the delivery of care, personal support, daily living tasks and activities to our customers. You will provide support to attain full potential, maximising options available, encouraging choice, participation and motivation.

This role will be based at our St Michael’s home in Axbridge. St Michael’s is home to 36 adults with physical disabilities. We’re in the peaceful village of Axbridge in Somerset, commutable from Cheddar and Weston-Super-Mare. You will:

  • Have an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Be experienced in administering medication
  • Have manual handling assessor competency
  • Have clinical observation recording competency
  • Be able to assess soft signs of an unwell adult in line with RESTORE 2
  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding, deprivation of liberty and the mental capacity act
  • Be experienced in working within a relevant care setting.
  • Be able to work flexibly within rostered hours and prepared to participate in an on-call rota as required.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills.
