Never settling for second best, it’s this spirit of excellence that has driven Sunseeker to its leading position in the marine industry today.Who We Are SeekingAs a Teak Deck Carpenter, you will gain experience across the numerous boat lines of our extensive product range, completing bespoke carpentry work packages within small teams, akin to hardwood flooring, but with highly valuable teak.As a highly skilled Carpenter, you will consistently strive for an impeccable quality of work, completing a thorough job with patience and passion. You’ll likely possess a strong practical understanding of a variety of materials and adhesives, including glues, stainless steel, and glass.A Sunseeker Teak Carpenter will be comfortable working with exact tolerances when scribing materials into irregular shapes in awkward positions. A Teak Carpenter will also be thorough and precise when sanding and preparing decks for installation.You’ll be based at Sunseeker Shipyards or Sunseeker Willis Way in Poole, Dorset. You’ll have the opportunity to work at our largest sites within our award-winning workforce, truly becoming a part of the Sunseeker family.Our working patterns
  • Day Shift Monday - Friday 7am - 15.30
  • Night Shift | Monday-Thursday, 18:00-04:30
  • Overtime is widely available.
Payrates
  • £13.20 - £15.50 Days
  • £17.60p/h - £20.67p/h PAYE - Nights
Overtime is widely available and paid at an increased pay rate. Hours over the basic 40 hour working week will be paid at time and a half Monday - Saturday or Double pay for Sundays and bank holidays.You will also be entitled to 30-day holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)Sunseeker have 2 shipyard shut downs, one in August and the other over Christmas.
