Summary

Required from 1st September 2021 this appointment relates to the provision of special needs support for a delightful Year 1 pupil in our school with SEND.

We are seeking to appoint a high quality, caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide in-class, group and individual support for a Year 1 SEND pupil (currently in EYFS and transitioning to Year 1 in September).

The post will involve working closely with the Class Teacher, SENDCo and pupil to provide a differentiated curriculum designed to support the child’s ability to be successful within our setting. Some time will be spent outside the classroom working 1:1 to teach/reinforcekey skills with a strong emphasis on social skills and communication and language development.

The successful candidate will join a hard-working, friendly team in school which was graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted (November 2018) and values Teaching Assistants as an essential part of this success. We are looking to appoint someone who thoroughly enjoys working with children and has a positive, flexible and professional manner. It is desirable that the successful candidate has experience of working with children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities.

Hours of work: 30 hours per week (Term Time only)
