Role Summary

To support delivery of the curriculum to the required standards and to meet deadlines. To inspire learners through engaging lessons and enable them to make appropriate progress. To support Prudentia Tutors to meet all their targets. To ensure the safety and wellbeing of Prudentia learners at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • To support tutors to raise success rates and ensure standards within the school
  • To support tutors to plan and further develop the curriculum
  • To supervise and support students whilst out on sporting activities
  • To provide classroom and activity support to groups of designated learners
  • To assist with behaviour management of learners on and off site
  • To contribute to a culture of innovation which will drive up learner engagement and outcomes
  • To undertake essential and role-related activities/CPD.
  • To ensure full compliance with all related school policies and procedures.
  • To undertake any other duties required by the Principal and Head of Education
  • To support Head of Education to maintain relationships with School Links and community groups to ensure Equality of Opportunity to all learner groups and raise participation oftargeted groups such as BAME and female learners.
  • To develop effective working relationships with key partners and agencies, raising the profile of Prudentia Education by assisting with work with regional and local networks and representation on groups, including: Local Authorities, LIT and Employment &Education groups, amongst others.
  • Have an understanding of, and proactively implement, policies and procedures that safeguard children, such as Keeping Children Safe in Education.

Desirable

  • Sports related coaching qualification
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2

Working hours - 8.45am - 3pm (Monday-Friday)
