We are currently recruiting teaching assistants to work in a special needs secondary school located in the heart of North Tyneside. This particular school caters for students with special needs such autism, speech & language difficulties and pmld. Due the needs of the students, class sizes are reduced and cater to 8 - 10 students, providing you the opportunity to have a more aligned and focused approach to the students learning & development. As a teaching assistant you will be supporting students with their academic & social development. This school are looking for people with personal or professional experience working with special needs, who have a calming and patient approach and are keen to apply their skills in education.

The Role

Working Monday to Friday - 8:30 - 15:30

Working one to one with students in core subjects and creative lessons

Differentiating work to meet the students needs

Working together as part of a team

Passionate about making a difference to students learning and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
