Are you a dynamic Science Teacher looking for an excellent school where you can carve out your niche as their Chemistry specialist?

Academics are working in partnership with a prestigious school located near the Worcestershire/ Birmingham border to appoint an outstanding full time Chemistry Teacher starting after half term to Easter (potentially until the summer term). Ideally, the successful applicant will have the ability to confidently teach chemistry up to year 13.

The school is easily accessible from both the M5/ M42 (also within close proximity to public transport links) and has exceptional modern facilities to ensure that every pupil learns in a superbly resourced environment. The science department has eight full time teachers and two technicians housed within six laboratories which were part of a recent £5m Science Development programme.

For the spring term, you will join a thriving department with a warm, constructive and industrious atmosphere. Over recent years, they have enjoyed excellent academic results. You will have the pleasure of working with exemplary students, who are academically ambitious and have a willingness to work hard whilst being challenged.

The headmaster requires a Teacher of Science - North Worcestershire who:

• Has strong subject knowledge (AQA GCSE, AQA A Level, IB Diploma)
• Is passionate about chemistry and the learning experience all pupils receive
• Actively inspires and engages all pupils, and encourages them to reflect on their evolving ability as learners and to demonstrate their ability to learn and understand content and concepts
• Has high expectations and an excellent command of the classroom
• Is willing to participate in the science department programme of extension activities
• Is eligible to work in the UK
• Holds QTS or QTLS
• Possesses a current enhanced DBS certificate that is registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one
