Due to sustained business growth our client now has an exciting career opportunity available for an ACCA/CTA qualified Personal Tax manager.
Duties And Responsibilities
- assuming responsibility and taking a proactive role in the management of a portfolio of personal tax clients andcontrolling the completion of work arising from those clients
- prepare tax returns for a diverse range of clients including individuals, sole traders, partnerships and trusts
- preparing more complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships and trusts
- assisting with the compliance for other taxes including forms P11D, basic corporation tax matters, forms 42 and EMI40s
- preparation and filing of P11D’s, PSA, NRL returns and ATED
- Advise managers on clients’ residency and non-domiciliary status including, where applicable, reference to the remittance basis charge
- Review tax notices and prepare correspondence to clients
- Ensure all client work is completed within specific budgets and timeframes
- Assisting with HMRC compliance enquiries
- Knowledge and experience of reporting under disclosure schemes
- Undertaking CGT advice on property, shares etc and preparing CGT 30-day reporting for UK residential property
- minimum 5 year’s PQE preparing tax returns and managing a tax portfolio in an accountancy practice
- ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA qualification
- excellent client relationship skills and the ability to nurture existing clients as well as the ability to help develop new business.
- ability to demonstrate technical breadth.
- ability to explain complex tax issues in plain English for all levels of understanding.
- the ability to prioritise high volumes and work to strict timescales where required.
- proactive, motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- commercial acumen and dedication to building a strong team.
