Talent Acquisition Operations Manager – Assistant Director - 12-month FTC or secondment – UK wide

The opportunity

The TA Operations Manager role supports the TA Operations Leader on an FTC or secondment basis for 12 months to enable the delivery of projects and improvements across the team, both self initiated and driven, and implementation of Globally conceived initiatives.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Supervising Associate or Manager to broaden their experience across recruitment operations and to develop an understanding of TA operational frameworks and projects, covering technology, reporting, process improvement, risk and financial management of the function.

Reporting line - TA Operations Leader

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Support and management of the operational framework of the TA function including process documentation and curation, identify opportunities for streamlining and improvement, take forward projects either as PM or coaching and monitoring progress of other team members
  • Build and maintain relationships with the IBM Support teams to influence the delivery of operational support and understand how that service can be continuously refined and improved
  • Support the management of a strong risk management approach across the function, including interfacing with Data Privacy and Independence teams, as well as Risk and General Counsel, managing compliance with GDPR regulations, RTW and employment law
  • Understand the technology roadmap and support various implementation initiatives, maintain and develop knowledge of available tools to drive improvements in our recruiting processes and approach
  • Work collaboratively with the Talent Enablement Analytics team to develop and improve MI capability, including: Validate and review existing reporting, gather feedback, and prioritise iterative improvements; Scan for key insights and storyboard reporting, build a prioritised pipeline of new reports / improvements to reporting, develop IntelliOps capability to advance analytics on hire quality in both student and experienced hire
  • Acting as the SME on reporting and MI for the function, continuously look for opportunities to reduce time spent by Recruiters on tactical reporting
  • Own TA vendor management approach: Build collaborative relationship with Procurement, develop RFP calendar for major vendors (Marketing, agencies, MSP & tech providers), continuous improvement to vendor management approach, removing admin from the team
  • Manage relationships with Senior Manager and Manager population in Student and Experienced Hire utilising these relationships to drive operational excellence and, where required, change projects.
  • Build and manage relationships with supporting functions such as Finance, Procurement, Legal and Talent Enablement to support cost controls and managing expenditure

Skills/Experience required:
  • Analytically strong approach to data, reporting and procedure
  • Strong reporting skills with Microsoft Excel and Power BI
  • Knowledge of recruitment ATS systems, including SAP Success Factors
  • Project management skills, leading matrix managed teams across multiple locations
  • Interest in process excellence e.g. Lean Six Sigma
  • Change management and communications skills
  • Knowledge and experience of the key legislative, best practice, and cost drivers that impact the effective running of a recruitment function
  • Experience of large-scale recruiting functions covering multiple disciplines including both Student and Experienced hiring
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, problem solve and exercise judgement under time pressure
  • Refining and validating data, extracting and prioritizing key insights and storytelling in a compelling way
