A British multinational defense, security, and aerospace company is seeking a bright, motivated Systems Engineering Managertomanage systems and software teams supporting the development and supply of products for commercial and military platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop fit-for-purpose processes and drive vendors for tool improvement activities
  • Provide input into systems/software engineering strategies to improve cost, schedule, and quality
  • Deploy cross-functional Model Based Engineering approaches into development programs
  • Conduct performance management processes and talent development
  • Perform resource forecasting and recruitment for engineering teams
  • Generate, review, and approve functional estimates and development strategies for bids

Skills and Experiences:

Essentials:

  • Systems and/or Software full lifecycle execution experience managing large teams
  • Demonstrable leadership skills
  • Ability to work with detail and brief at a summary level
  • Qualification to Degree in an engineering-related discipline or HNC with suitable experience

Desirable:

  • Leadership experience in Avionic Systems, Mission Systems, Safety Critical Control Systems, or Real-time Embedded/Display Systems

Location:

  • Hybrid in Christchurch
  • Salary: Up to £70,000 (negotiable based on experience)
