This role will be working within the Digital Transformation team in the IT & Related Services DepartmentThe breadth of systems used at City & County Healthcare Group ranges from Time & Attendance, BI Tools, Electronic Care Planning / Medication Management Systems, E-Learning Management platforms, bespoke recruitment, payroll, and finance products, with further applications coming online in the near future.The role will mainly focus on the system administration and core configuration of business IT applications on a day to day basis. Configuration work will typically be project based and involve the setup of new databases for core applications as well as business as usual duties, involving the management of changes within these core applications.The System Developer will support the Systems Development Manager in driving forward change within the Group. This will involve the continual development of the applications through both internal configuration layer changes and also working with third party suppliers to assist in the development of the product roadmaps. The post holder will be responsible for managing the Change logs and Development logs and providing updates on progress as and when requested by the Systems Development Manager.In the case of project work the role will involve working to specification documents where stakeholder requirements have been mapped out and translating these into Changes in the IT applications. Ongoing engagement with key stakeholders both internal and external will then be critical to the success of the delivery of these projects. Providing status updates to the Systems Development Manager will be essential.Working closely with our Operations, Delivery Assurance, Business Support and System Implementation Teams you will ensure that all teams are up to date on the improvements / changes to the applications / systems. You will also be responsible for delivering high level training and webinars to these key teams to ensure that they are equipped to support the full portfolio of applications. Additionally, you will maintain strong links with the Quality Team and other clinical teams who will act in an advisory capacity on all clinical and safety matters. Through working with the clinical teams you will increase your knowledge of all areas relating to clinical care delivery, medications management, risk assessment and event management.The post holder will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments. Due to the nature of the work you may be required to respond to the business needs outside of normal working hours.Duties & ResponsibilitiesIncluding, but not limited to:
  • Support with the management of the configuration and development of core group software applications
  • Driving forward the use of innovative technology to improve processes and increase benefits realisation
  • Manage software and hardware configuration changes through internal processes and Service desk tools
  • Coordinate processes for version management, system build, archiving, and change management
  • Support and facilitate auditing and reporting
  • Oversee baseline configurations for software applications.
  • Process mapping current and future state processes and drafting standard operating procedures
  • Develop and maintaining documentation and training materials for internal use
  • Deliver internal training sessions and webinars to related teams
  • All aspects of testing for applications through to User Acceptance Testing
  • Support with the change control and development request process
  • Support with release scheduling and management
  • Act as an escalation point for Issues management and maintaining relationships with the system supplier
  • Supporting and ensuring GDPR / DPA 2018 compliance
