About The Opportunity

Role Purpose

To establish a system architectural design and identify which eMotor related requirements are to be allocated to which elements of the system. Evaluating the system architectural design against defined criteria, alternative solutions and reuse potential in a change-controlled environment, for the life of the programme, in-line with the GKN ASPICE® compliant process for eDrive and AWD systems. Lead and focus on the realization of eMotor functions by ensuring consistency of System Requirements, System Architecture and Integration Strategy. Review and discussion about existing architectures with experts from systems and domains.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1

Guide the system architectural design in eMotor related topics by analysing requirements, providing design decisions and developing functional and logical architecture in Enterprise Architect.

2

Manage and ensure the collaboration between the system architectural design and supporting teams like mechanical design, electrical hardware design, software development and simulation groups for providing valid design decisions for eMotor related topics.

3

Working together with experts for the inverter architecture to ensure an highly-integrated system design of inverter and eMotor representing best performance, durability and costing

4

Provide deep knowledge of state-of-the-art eMotor and inverter technologies to the team of system architects and system requirements engineers to provide always a best technology solution form system perspective

5

Describe dynamic behaviour of the interaction between system elements and evaluate if and how the performance can be implemented

6

Support the engineering domains mechanics, electronical hardware and software in developing domain-specific requirements by providing functional descriptions and interface specifications

7

Define and lead across the domains evaluation criteria for architecture design and evaluate the available or identified alternative solutions based on the defined criteria and reusability

8

Ensure quality of the architecture and identify reuse possibilities

9

Support definition of system context and review of design decisions and system requirements
