Job Title: Sustainable Procurement Manager

Contract: Full time, permanent. Able to consider part time working and job share.

The Group Procurement Team at Kier are part way through a multi-year transformation to be a procurement centre of excellence. We’ve made excellent progress and are now looking for a Sustainable Procurement Manager to join the team to work closely with the category management and procurement teams to continually review and improve processes and support our preferred suppliers to deliver more sustainable products and services, driving efficiencies and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a Sustainable Procurement Manager to join us. In this role you will be responsible for the continual improvement of sustainability knowledge and skill within the group procurement team, ensuring processes are reviewed and updated as appropriate to be a procurement centre of excellence. You will provide support to our group preferred suppliers ensuring opportunities to collaborate and innovate are maximised in alignment with the Kier Building for a Sustainable World framework, also working with the internal communications leads to deliver timely and appropriate communications to our internal stakeholders in relation to the sustainability actions and innovations of the preferred suppliers.

What are we looking for?

You will need to be passionate about sustainability with a good understanding of procurement practices; a lateral thinker, able to see opportunities across the value chain with the ability to influence at different levels of seniority. You will also use your enthusiasm, knowledge, and expertise to be an agent for change, continually improving, developing processes and providing guidance to ensure change success.
