Permanent Contract

£22,000-24,000 Dependent on Experience plus wider benefits package

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sustainability Advisor to join our wider Sustainability Team to assist the business with sustainability actions and ESG reporting. Reporting to the Sustainability Director this role will also be involved in a variety of projects that will help our business become more climate resilient.

We are looking for a real people’s person who can motivate our wider colleagues and inspire enthusiasm for sustainability issues across the portfolio. Our ideal candidate will be educated to Degree Level or have relevant industry experience along with IEMA Graduate membership as a minimum.

You will have the ability to work in partnership to achieve results within each business unit and have excellent verbal & written communication skills and presentation skills on delivery.

Previous experience in sustainability/ESG reporting is essential.

Key Duties:

  • Lead on internal and external sustainability and ESG reporting requirements
  • Oversee internal compliance with our sustainability policies
  • Assist the Sustainability Director in the effective working of the Peel L&P Sustainability & ESG Board and the L&P Sustainability Group
  • Co-ordinate the Green Team and provide support to our Sustainability Champions
  • Liaise with Marketing and Communications colleagues on behalf of the Sustainability Team
  • Assist with other sustainability and ESG projects as required, such as the TCFD Action Plan, occupier relations and the sustainable procurement project
  • Manage the internal Annual Sustainability Survey
  • Develop and maintain sustainability materials for communication to internal and external audiences
  • Undertake continual personal and professional development, maintaining an up-to-date understanding of sustainability issues as they relate to Peel L&P.

  • Ability to motivate colleagues and inspire enthusiasm for sustainability issues
  • Ability to work in partnership to achieve results, ensuring ownership for sustainability issues remains within each business unit
  • Ability to relate sustainability issues to the practical commercial challenges faced by colleagues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong Word and Excel skills are required
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • IEMA Graduate membership as a minimum
  • Self-Starter

  • Wide-ranging knowledge of issues relating to sustainability and ESG in the property sector.
