The Company:

An excellent opportunity has been made available by my client an established housing provider in the UK. My client is an established housing provider with a generic housing management and supported housing services.

The Role:

My client is looking for a Supported Housing Manager on an initial four-to-five-month contract with the view to go permanent based in Cheshire.

This is a full-time role 37.5 Hours (Monday – Friday)

Pay rate for this role is 15.30 PAYE OR £19.50 Umbrella

Candidate will require a full UK Driver’s License and access to a vehicle too.

Mileage will be paid at 0.45p per mile

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Day to day duties will include:

  • As a Supported Housing Manager, you will be required to monitor, maintain and improve service delivery by agreeing resident needs and delivering services in line with the Quality Assessment Framework (QAF) and Housing and Support Standards.
  • Part of your role will be to review, monitor and evaluate service provision, identifying opportunities for improvements and agreeing and implementing change where appropriate.
  • You will need to ensure compliance within the project to the Association’s Policies and Procedures.
  • An important part of your role will be to work with tenancy Sustainability Officers/ Housing Officers & Managers to monitor occupancy, rent collection and void levels against targets, generating referrals to maintain occupancy levels as appropriate.
  • You will be tasked with taking responsibility for performance management issues within the project, including staffing and targets and performance indicators.
  • Your role will require you to ensure compliance with lettings and allocations procedures.
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring effective tenancy management in line with policies and procedures including eviction, arrears and anti-social behaviour.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have previous experience of having worked as a Supported Housing Manager or in a similar operational capacity for an established housing provider or a local authority, including:

  • Substantial experience of staff management
  • Experience of facilitating effective partnership working.
  • Promotion of access to services and employment for discriminated against groups.
  • Substantial knowledge and practice in working with vulnerable and/or other disadvantaged groups.
  • A working knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace, implications for staff and residents.
  • Experience in recruitment, selection and induction of staff and development of teams.
  • Ability to effectively lead staff teams and adapt management styles appropriately to achieve objectives
  • Tech savvy, you will be comfortable with our digital first approach and confident in the use of IT systems
