Academics are recruiting for Support Workers to join a residential home adjoined to a special needs school in Lymington. They have full-time, part-time and night shifts available so whatever your availability, please get in touch. This would suit a Support Worker with experience of working in either a care or special needs environment, but not essential as all training is provided. Aswell as various shifts, they also offer term time contracts (38 weeks a year) or full-time, 52 weeks a year as the residential home is open in the school holidays. This is ideal for parents who want to spend the holidays with their own children. Shift patterns from from 7/7.30am-3/3.30pm - 3.30/4-10/11pm, night shifts - waking nights and sleep ins. Shifts range from Monday-Sunday. The role of a Support Worker involves enabling young people to develop and make progress by providing physical, emotional and nurturing support. The position involves working as part of a team to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that makes the health, safety, care and welfare of young people a priority. To be a successful Support Worker you will be a strong team player, confident and motivated and well organised. Patience and commitment are essential, but above all you’ll be someone with a genuine desire to help others.
