SUPPORT WORKER, SHERWOOD STREET CENTRE, MANSFIELD, PERMANENT, FRWK03 £17,189- £18,661, 37 HPW

The Sherwood Street Centre offers 15 units of high quality quick access accommodation in Mansfield for people who have either been sleeping rough or at immediate risk of doing so.
We are looking for candidates who can communicate with people in a friendly and welcoming manner. You will need to be reliable and enthusiastic with an expectation you will be dealing with the public in a busy, often challenging service environment - experience of working in housing and homelessness or similar supportive environments is not necessary but desirable.
The main functions of these roles are:

  • To ensure that clients and the building are safe and secure
  • To build the skills and confidence of service users to empower them in maximising their independence
  • To enable people to move on and resettle from the service in a timely and appropriate way.
  • To contribute to the aims of the service
  • To work in partnership with other agencies to maximise service delivery
