United Response is looking for hard working and compassionate individuals to join the team at our busy Boscawen Farm service situated halfway between Redruth and Truro.

Our work in Redruth

Boscawen Farm is one of the ways we aim to give the people we support the opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy the feeling of getting stick into different activities such as woodwork, pottery and animal care on a working farm.

Through the running of different creative sessions on our 45 acre farm, we can ensure that United Response continues to provide the high quality person-centred approach to social care that we are passionate about.

As a Support Worker, you would:

  • Work with the people we support in a range of activities
  • Assist with the daily running of a working farm
  • Encourage the people we support to try new things
  • Help create a fun and lively environment
  • Track outcomes to ensure that the people we support make progress

What we need from you

We don’t ask for specific skills or experience, for us it’s all about finding people who share in our values of being honest, creative, united, responsive and strong. You should combine a friendly and compassionate personality with the genuine desire to help others. We like to see that our Support Workers have a good work ethic and take pride in creating an environment where the people we support enjoy being. Any experience or interest in the following would be a bonus:

  • Wood work
  • Horticulture
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Media
  • Livestock

What you get from us

As a Support Worker, you will receive:

  • £9.80 per hour
  • 20 days paid annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays) which increases after 3 and 5 years’ service
