Regenda is now recruiting a Support Worker (Nights) to work with our talented Independent Living team at one of our schemes in Birkenhead.

About The Role

The role is based in a semi-independent accommodation project and is on a rota based shift working pattern to ensure that a high quality of support is delivered to the residents 24 hours a day 365 days a year. The support worker will work flexible shift patterns inclusive of early starts, late finishes and bank holiday working.

The post holder will assist in all aspects of support to ensure that the young person is ready to move to more independent accommodation. The role requires the planning and undertaking of support sessions, use of a centralized database to record information, health and safety checks and cash handling.

The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of the care and support sector relating to service users’ needs, contract management, housing and social care law, local service commissioning and relevant service standards.

They will have outstanding communication and inter-personal skills in both a verbal and non-verbal context. This includes positive relationship building with partners; demonstrating motivation and high quality coaching with service users and presenting accessible and engaging information to customers. It also includes the support of timely, accurate, accessible, well-presented and professional reports and documentation using Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint to an appropriate standard.

The successful candidate will have a tenacious approach to quality assurance by supporting a blend of performance management and spot checks to improve service to levels beyond the sector benchmark, into the top quartile of Regenda peers and creating services that represent the best of the Regenda brand.

They will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of delivering excellent customer and stakeholder services to tenants and partners in Care and Support schemes.

In this role you will be required to have a resilient and professional approach to problem solving and contract dispute with customers and partners, ensuring compliance is maintained throughout various forms of agreements within Care and Support schemes.

The post holder may on occasion be required to travel to other offices and therefore the ability to travel to other offices and locations which may not be easily accessible by public transport.

Please note, this is predominantly a lone working role and Enhanced DBS will be required for this role.
