Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) is one of the largest locally based housing organisations in the East Midlands. Across the region we manage over 9,000 homes; house more than 15,000 tenants; provide over 1,500 bed spaces for people with support/care needs, in over 250 properties; and provide more than 500,000 hours of care and support each year. We are looking for a Support Worker to join the Housing Matters for Families team in Leicestershire.

Being a Support Worker is more than just providing care, you are enabling individuals to gain skills, confidence and the ability to live successful independent lives. Our Housing Matters for Families is a Floating Support Service for families who are at risk of becoming homeless in the Leicestershire area and who are in need of support to maintain their accommodation.

As a Support Worker, you will be required to work within the community and travel around Leicestershire to support service users in their own homes. Therefore a valid driving license and access to a vehicle is essential for this post. *Travel costs will be reimbursed if you have business insurance.Typical areas of travelling include Charnwood, Hinckley and Bosworth, Northwest Leicestershire and Blaby.

What We Require From You

Heaps of personality with a desire to really make a difference to people’s lives.You will have a good understanding of housing related support and knowledge and/or experience of working with vulnerable people due to the needs of our service users. As well as being a good team player, you will be able to work on your own initiative and be able to lone work when required. Working Days And Times

The role is primarily Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm - we offer a great work/life balance! However you will be expected to work flexibly on occasion which may involve working weekends and bank holidays when required.
