SDR Care is a growing business with care homes situated on the South Coast. We pride ourselves on investing in our people and we are committed to the UK Living Wage Foundation. We aim to continuously train and develop our staff to enable them to reach their full potential within our collaborative and supportive team.

An exciting opportunity has become available to join our team of Support Workers at one of our homes in Eastleigh, Hampshire. The homes specialise in person-centred care for people with learning difficulties and autism.

Applicants might have experience of working in a similar environment, but this is not essential as training will be provided. You will be enthusiastic, an effective communicator, have high standards, and be sensitive to the needs of people with learning disabilities.

Working hours are 37 hours per week, on a rotational shift pattern. This will be a varied shift pattern including weekdays and weekends; a flexible approach to work is essential. You will be required to work sleep-in shifts, for which we pay £50 per night. Part-time could be considered for the right applicant.

Can you:

Provide a customised, responsive, and high-quality service to a person with Autism and sensory needs?

Are you:

  • passionate about providing the highest quality of care
  • a caring and supportive person
  • able to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • aspiring to grow your career
  • a driver with a Full UK Driving Licence (desirable for some roles)
  • resilient and calm

In return, you can expect:

  • a salary of £20,972 (which is reviewed annually)
  • sleep in shifts paid at £50 per night (the possibility to earn additional £2,000-£4,000 per year, depending on the number of sleep ins you can do)
  • enhanced pay for working bank holidays
  • an annual bonus, based on company performance
  • the equivalent of at least 29 days holiday (including bank holidays).
  • a company pension scheme where eligible
  • group life insurance of 2 x salary
  • wellbeing benefits
  • a collaborative and supportive induction process
  • continuing professional development
  • support towards achieving your Care Certificate or Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care
  • in house specialist Autism training
  • Company sick pay (following a successful probation period)
  • a £500 bonus each, if you refer a friend (or ex colleague) according to terms and conditions

Our Values form an integral part of our business and as such we would seek applicants that can demonstrate:
