£10.20 p/h | 36 or 48 Hours – Days or Nights | Private Client | Challenging Behaviours & Complex Care Experience Essential SYK Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced Support Workers in Widnes. The purpose of the roles will be to provide person-centred care and support to a private client in their own home who is living with both complex physical health needs and very challenging behaviours due to mental illness. Details of this Support Worker role:
  • A permanent contract to work either 36 or 40 hours per week
  • Flexible shifts covering a 24/7 rota, with 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am/12 hour shifts in place
  • Very competitive pay rates of £10.20 per hour plus paid breaks
  • 28 days annual leave
  • You will be provided with a comprehensive training and induction programme, and will have access to ongoing learning and development In this role you will work alongside other Support Workers on a 3 to 1 ratio to manage and implement person centred care plans. You will play a key role in the daily life of the client, providing companionship, care and support whilst using the Positive Behavioural Support Model and proactive strategies to support them in staying safe and maintaining their wellbeing. What we are looking for:
  • You will have completed NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, and you should be willing to undertake any additional studies and training required
  • You will have previous experience in a care, with proven experience in 2 or 3 to 1 care and supporting adults living with challenging behaviours and very complex needs
  • You should have experience and understanding of Positive Behavioural Support Models, wound care and ideally epilepsy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a positive, proactive approach
