Position:Support Worker

Salary:£12.00 hourly rate

Hours:Shifts (24 hours on / 3 days off rota including sleep-ins)

What Were Looking For

Are you an experienced support worker or someone who is passionate about wanting to help young people meet their own needs and prepare them for independent living? Then if so, wed love to hear from you!

We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic support worker to join our friendly, supportive and professional team in order to better support care experienced young people with developing their independence skills sufficiently, to make their transition to adulthood and independent living more successful.

What We Want From You
  • You will need to be naturally caring (in a supportive way), resilient and committed to wanting young people to overcome adversity, succeed and make a difference in their life.
  • Possess a positive can-do attitude, promote independence and choice and build positive and professional working relationships.
  • Support young people in developing their independence skills through a combination of hands-on support, independence assessments and reviewing tailored support plans.
  • Have previous experience of working with young people aged 16-24 in providing them with practical and emotional support and ideally have knowledge and understanding of relevant issues which can impact on this age groups development.
  • Hold at least a level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care (ideally children & young people) or equivalent qualification.
  • The ability to work shifts (including sleep-ins).
  • Be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
