NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - FULL TRAINING PROVIDED

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent (Part-Time Positions also available)

WORKING HOURS: 35 Hours per Week (Part-Time roles less than 35 Hours per Week)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Support Worker who is compassionate, supportive with strong communication skills to join the organisation’s friendly and welcoming team.

Working as a Support Worker you will join a service which provides outcome focused support in a welcoming, safe, non-judgemental environment which is conducive to the personal growth and wellbeing of the residents.

The organisation offers the opportunity to visit the service to observe the work they do and talk about a day in the life of a Support Worker with the Service Manager – this gives you the opportunity to really explore the work they do as an organisation and insight of the work you will be part of.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Desirable but not essential – Support Worker:
Experience of providing support to people with a mental illness; or experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting in either a paid or voluntary capacity

Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and embedding the ethos of recovery into your own practice

The ability to proactively make a comprehensive assessment of an individual’s situation and needs; to develop, implement and review risk management plans and devise support plans to meet these needs

Work independently and as part of a team with a commitment and belief that your work makes a difference

This post will be subject to a DBS Enhanced with Adults Barred check
