About us

Beckcare Homes Ltd support team lead Ilfracombe.

We are looking for a individual to join our friendly team within Beckcare homes, who has a wealth of knowledge and experience to join a well established business for over 20 years . We require a candidate who is honest, reliable, hardworking, and organised. A successful candidate is required to have previous experience in both Health and Social care and a Management/Supervisor position. In-house training is also available to get to the level required for this role. You must have acquired or be willing to attain a level 5 Health and Social Care Management certificate. Your team of support workers would be mainly at the placement in Ilfracombe but must be willing to assist with our clients/staff within the community if required. You will be reporting directly to Support Director. The requirements for this role are as follows

  • To determine staffing requirements inclusive of organising cover for sickness, holidays, if recruitment is required etc
  • Evaluating client referrals for suitability and availability
  • Implementing a rota
  • Employ and train new staff
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to direct reporting staff.
  • Develop staff to maximise potential, through various staff development training courses
  • Monitor staff performance through supervisions, including performance reviews
  • Monitor and assist staff with work progress, to be a point of contact for any staffing concerns
  • Plan and implement Support plans and keep working documents current and relevant for direct reporting staff.

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
