Job Description

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours:37.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Working various shifts between 6am and 10pm

Salary: £9.70 per hour

In your new role as a Support Service Assistant you will:
  • To support audit readiness requirements from both Mitie management team and GSK clients
  • Carry out any/all cleaning duties as requested by Mitie Management team.
  • To ensure that all tasks are carried out in a professional manner, following all safe systems of work and risk assessments.
  • Wear the correct and appropriate PPE at all times. To comply with all statutory GSK & Mitie Health and Safety rules and regulation for cleaning materials, equipment and buildings.
  • To provide high personal standards of work/performance, personal hygiene and appearance.
  • To perform/report any complaints/incidents of accidents, fire theft or loss, damage or faults in relation to cleaning machinery/equipment or any other irregularities and act if applicable.
  • Undertake all required training in relationship to all aspects of the cleaning service delivered, as requested this will include Mitie Mandatory Learning and GSK MyLearning.
  • Ensure that all requirements in relation to COSHH are adhered to, as specified by the Mitie Management team.
  • Whilst covering staff for sickness / holidays you are to ensure all cleaning duties covered are signed for as per work orders / working instructions
  • The following areas require cover (the list below is not exhaustive):
    • Production Cleaning
    • Production Laundry Functions
    • Production portering
    • Bottle wash within L, E block
    • Plant rooms
    • Sampling Booths
    • General cleaning
    • Media Prep Lab
    • Fume cupboards, eyewash stations & emergency shower checks
    • Laboratory support
  • To follow the site ALCOA principals and GMP ways of working
  • To complete applicable work routines for your designated areas in actual time
