  • promote independence, freedom and choice as a keyworker to residents, working with them to achieve their goals as they work towards independent living
  • ensuring residents are safe and able to manage risks as necessary, which often you’ll need to do with the help of partner agencies
  • responsible for health and safety checks within the building, as well as reporting and monitoring maintenance issues
You will be working a blend of shifts made up of early (0700-1500) and late (1300-2100), including one weekend in four, plus on-call out of hours one week in every four for which additional payment is madeAt A2Dominion Care & Support we are transforming our services to being person-centred within a psychologically informed environment. We are specifically looking for candidates with the right skills and attitudes, who will demonstrate and promote our values of caring by nature, working better together and thinking for tomorrow.For this role, we’re looking for someone who may have:
  • experience of working in a customer-facing role, and a passion for customer service.
  • the understanding to motivate people who have complex and diverse issues including alcohol or substance misuse, mental health trauma and/or behavioural challenges
  • an awareness of Universal Credit and Housing Benefit, as well as voluntary and statutory support agencies.
  • the skills to identify and manage risk.
  • an awareness of safeguarding measures and processes.
  • excellent communication skills.
RequirementsIf you don’t tick every box above, don’t worry – however there are a few essential requirements of the role which you’ll need to fulfil in order for us to take your application further
  • You must have the right to work in the UK – unfortunately we are unable to sponsor visa applications.
  • You must have a full driving licence, together with a car available and insured for business purposes. Where you need to use this for business travel, mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile.
  • You’ll need a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) at the Enhanced level – don’t worry, we will pay for this and any subsequent renewals. We may still be able to consider applications from candidates who have disclosures on their file – please contact us to discuss this.
  • You should be able and willing to work flexibly across similar Care & Support services within a reasonable distance from your main base (transport costs reimbursed) in support of colleagues elsewhere – remember, this works both ways!
