Ty Cynnal is a newly commissioned Support House comprising a 5-bed residence in Bettws, Newport that offers a short-term therapeutic alternative to hospital for people experiencing a crisis in their mental health. We will offer a safe and homely environment that is responsive to people’s needs and alleviates distress. Ty Cynnal will provide a space for individuals to connect with others, take time out and be heard. Staff will work alongside people to understand what may be contributing to their distress and take steps to make changes for when they return home.

We are looking for a Case Worker to join the team. The role will involve providing emotional support to people experiencing distress, to offer a safe space where people can talk through what has happened, offer practical support to address issues contributing to the person’s distress and help them make plans for how they can improve their situation to prevent future crises.

You will be required to work shifts on a rota and undertake sleep in shifts as the project will be staffed 24 hours per day
