Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer with a global presence. They are recruiting for a Supply Planner / Materials Planner to join their team. Reporting to the Supply Operations and Execution Manager, the Supply Planner will run planning process for multiple departments, ensuring plans are produced in a timely manner to minimise any potential hit on service. The role will cooperate with the production team in terms of delivery schedule, requirements and availability and resolve daily supply issues with suppliers.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Supply Chain, planning the ordering of materials.
  • Generate and maintain production plans using the latest information on component/labour availability capacity etc.
  • Team member of monthly S&OE process providing an input.
  • Stock target adherence including Safety Stock evaluation.
  • Point of contact for Production.
  • Continues review of supply plans to ensure right product mix on stock and service level targets according to S&OE requirements.
  • Dealing with Import & Export requirements – Raw Materials.
  • Create, schedule and release Purchase/Production Orders.
  • Giving input to S&OE in terms of potential supply issues, supplier constraints.
  • Monthly review on stock takes.
  • Ongoing improvements in planning process – Kanban, WIP stores, SS etc.
  • Development of knowledge in terms of relevant SAP masterdata.
  • Keep driving decrease of slow moving inventory.
  • Proposals of improvements of SAP masterdata.
  • To undertake structured and frequent review of inventory policies.
  • Plan production lines efficiently in line with stock requirements and factory constraints.
  • Effectively respond and resolve, where possible, performance and delivery issues.
  • To contribute to the successful development of customer supply chain collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the purchasing and planning process for a company.
  • Experience as a Planner / Purchaser, or in a Supply Chain role.
  • Practical knowledge in supply planning processes.
  • System knowledge, and experience of SAP R/3.
  • Knowledge and experience of Reporting and Analytics: SAP BO, MS Office, IBP.
  • Service Oriented.
  • Inbound Logistics.
  • Team Player.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Import & Export knowledge.
  • Effective and pro-active communication across all stakeholders.
  • Skilled influencer.
  • Excellent analytical skills.

Previous job titles could include; Production Planner / Materials Planner / Supply Chain Administrator / Purchasing Officer / Purchasing Assistant / Procurement / Buying / Buyer.
