Who are we

A multi-award-winning textile manufacturer with two centuries of heritage and a forward-thinking approach to innovation and sustainability, Camira designs and manufactures environmental fabrics for the commercial, public transport and residential sectors.

Purpose

To provide a support service for Customer Service’s & Sales Managers with respect to delivering the companies commitment for fabric dates to our customers. To act as an effective liaison between suppliers. Maintain service level targets, through taking a proactive approach at all times.

This role will be between our Meltham site and Holmfirth Dyers Site (HFD) and so you will need a valid UK driving license. Please also note that you must have demand planning experience to apply for this role. Unfortunately we cannot provide sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Create short term (up to 3 weeks max) production plans with our internal dye house. These plans must consider dye house capacity, customer required date and process capability.
  • Manage semi-finished goods ( loomstate) ensuring the weekly reviews are conducted, accurate stock levels are maintained and the production requirements are calculated for the following week.
  • Monitor internal supplier (HFD) performance by creating reports and participating in supplier reviews ensuring standards are maintained at all times.
  • To be the point of contact for sales and customer services for any piece dyed product in the Camira range.
  • Manage the piece dyed stock file and maintain planning system parameters and stock targets to deliver service whilst minimising stock levels.
  • Responsible for controlling the flow of products to and from suppliers and ensuring suppliers meet the required lead times.
  • To supply realistic finished goods dates for all backordered fabrics & advise the sales team of these, therefore delivering customer requirements.
  • To support the sales team’s requirements, look for opportunities to improve backorder dates, through streamlining of processes and application of efficient practices.

Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft package in particular Excel
  • Good understanding of MRP/ERP packages or a similar system
  • Knowledge of piece dye processes is desirable
  • Have demonstrated excellent relationship building skills, including relationships with suppliers
  • Knowledge of textiles
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
