Supply Chain Planning Lead £35,000 - £40,000 pa Plus Flexible Benefits (incl. 25 days Annual Leave & 6% Employer Pension Contribution) The Company My client is a specialist products manufacturer supplying into a variety of industries. They have both UK and international sites and pride themselves on exceptional levels of service which is delivered by working closely with their customers to understand the specific needs of their business. They have an excellent opportunity for a Supply Chain Planning Lead to lead the current Planning team in the delivery of effective production planning The Role Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Supply Chain Planning Lead will be involved with leadership and development of the team as well as being hands-on with in delivering the full customer experience from order placement to product delivery. You will be part of a team with direct responsibility for providing effective production plans to the operational team as well as working closely with the customers, understanding their needs and building long lasting relationships. You will also work closely with the Operations team to Working closely with the operational team to achieve the production plan whilst utilising all available resource to maximise production outputs. You will ensure your team has the required resource to enable them to achieve optimum productivity. Other key responsibilities will include: * Delivery of agreed KPI’s & SLA targets * Being accountable for the 0-13-week customer demand * Creation of daily sequenced and weekly production schedules * Being the first point of escalation for tactical decisions and issues * Managing the complete work order management process * Prioritising work orders for production optimisation * Working with the NPI and PED teams to ensure all projects are delivered on time * Ensuring that stock is despatched and delivered according to the agree service level * Building positive working relationships with Operations and Procurement to improve performance * Implementing recovery plans and the necessary escalation if performance falls below the agreed levels. The Candidate I am looking for an experienced Supply Chain Planning Lead who is qualified in either APICS or CIPS and has a proven track record of leadership within a demanding manufacturing environment. You will also: * Have excellent customer service experience * Have strong communication and influencing skills * Have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse data * Be result and process driven * Be resilient, adaptable and flexible * Have advanced knowledge and experience of MRP systems and processes * Strong computing skills using Microsoft Office and Excel The Benefits In return, the successful Supply Chain Planning Lead will receive a competitive salary of up to £40,000 (dependent upon experience) and a flexible benefits package that includes 25 days annual leave and 6% employer Pension Contribution.
