The key to any hardware company’s success is the strength of its supply chain and we are no different. We run a very tight ship at our manufacturing facility in Rainham and the teams (supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, dispatch, and R&D) work very collaboratively. There is a good team feel and it helps when we are pushing to break records from our side every month!

We are looking for a supply chain operative to help improve the overall efficiency and performance of our high-performing supply chain team. You will be working most closely with our COO, Supply Chain Manager, and Production Manager to make sure that the most vital aspect of our business continues to run as smoothly as possible as we scale.

You will get the opportunity to learn from a CIPS certified expert as part of your role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional administrative support to the COO and Supply Chain Manager on all aspects of the supply chain, procurement, stock/inventory management, and our MRP system.
  • Engage with a number of suppliers, organise RFQs, maintain communication and receive regular updates.
  • Support in managing our existing relationships with suppliers and in time also look to foster brand new relationships of your own with new suppliers.
  • Working closely in a collaborative environment with all key stakeholders
  • Support the growth of the company through the development of improved processes in the operations team
  • Ensure maximum accuracy of all manufacturing internal stock transfer figures.
  • Support the accounts department with reconciliation of invoices and stock movements.
  • Monitor and assist with goods in process.
  • Promote and help to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Who we’d like:

  • Someone with existing supply chain experience
  • Experience with consumer electronics or manufacturing industry experience
  • Exceptional mathematical skills and ideally a STEM BSc degree
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive attitude - if you find a problem we expect you to take every step possible to solve it and the earlier you identify it the better, don’t be afraid to call people and get stuff done if that is what it takes.
  • You can’t stand inefficient processes.
  • Strong experience with an MRP software system, G: suite and Excel/Google Sheets
  • A team player that is hungry to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bonus experience would be previous working experience within an EMS or Contract Manufacturer organisation, ideally in a procurement or operations role.
  • Bonus experience would be working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Bonus experience consumer electronics commercial experience
  • Bonus experience any supply chain training or qualifications
  • Driver’s licence.

The low down:

  • Competitive salary
  • Join a dynamic and close-knit team at our factory in Rainham (East London)
  • This is a fast-paced startup environment built up through supportive, committed, and friendly people at Hypervolt.
  • A great progression path opportunity.
  • You’ll be joining a fast-growing company at an early stage with ambitions to be a major global contender.
