Job Purpose

The Supply Chain Manager role is critical to the running of the client’s contract and ensuring internal and external value and operational delivery from the extensive supply chain. The role will cover all services with a heavy focus on engineering and soft services. ISS engage suppliers to deliver a large number of specialist services lines along with a number of general repair and maintenance tasks across the Corporate and Retail Estate and this role is pivotal to ensure these are delivered effectively and in line with commercial requirements of the contract.

This role requires national travel, the main hub will be in Bolton, but we will consider candidates from other locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Chair regular review meetings with all critical and high spend suppliers to the account. These reviews are aimed to improve performance, understand barriers to success and identify innovation.
  • Performance management of suppliers who are actively generating client relationship risks for ISS through non-performance or lack of compliance information.
  • Support the QS and quotes team to ensure the level of detail from the supply chain is extensive enough to meet the RBS requirements in the cases of CVRs and Chargeable Works sign offs.
  • Liaison with Procurement and the Sector Supply Chain Lead to understand the ISS relationships in place with the Preferred Suppliers, focusing on increased Compliance and also dialogue with Procurement regarding operational delivery.
  • Work with the wider contract teams such as Data Management and Business Improvement to support continuous improvement in process and systems.
  • Identify potential savings that can be made across the supply chain and support the supply cain lead to drive these changes across the account, Support the contract Commercial teams with invoicing and payment issues to ensure service delivery is maintained during such periods.
  • Support Sector Supply Chain Lead with benchmarking across internal accounts regarding areas of potential opportunity for project review.
  • Submit monthly performance review to be included in the monthly contract review documentation.
  • Advise the Sector Lead for supply chain/Commercial Manager (Account Lead) of all key options to affect performance, total spend and spend compliance. Support and back up to the Commercial Director & Account Director on areas of Supply Chain
  • Support the supply Chain lead for the Sector to deliver the Strategic Objectives for the business in respect to supply chain
Qualifications & Experiences
  • Maintaining and growing relationships with key supply partners to leverage value and service excellence for ISS and our Customer.
  • Understanding of the ways in which value can be driven within the supply chain.
  • Ability to spot gaps in out processes that are blockers to success and suggest solutions to over-come.
  • Passion for innovation within the supply chain and ability to work with multiple working groups.
  • Ability to react to escalations from operational teams and our customer and quickly resolve
  • Ability to focus on both value for NWG and ISS when considering Supply Chain initiatives.
  • Experience of working on an engineering account would be beneficial
  • Ability to support both operational requirement while also maintaining focus on the over-arching supply chain strategy of the account and the Sector as a whole
