Our clients based in Waterlooville, have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join their growing team.

This role has full responsibility for supplier base, timely provision of material, general inventory management such as Goods In & development of the systems used to control the supply chain. Its a great role with great variety and opportunity!

The role is predominantly office based, with supplier visits as and when required.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all day-to-day purchasing tasks.
  • Maintain and develop working relationships with new and existing suppliers, both national and international.
  • Work with internal teams to develop material purchasing forecasts to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Development of supply forecasts.
  • Management & consolidation of the supplier base.
  • Derive KPIs to monitor & measure supplier quality & delivery performance.
  • New Product Introduction
  • Benchmarking and negotiation of prices with suppliers to reduce direct costs to the Company.
  • Review and negotiate contractual terms with suppliers, vendors and distributors.
  • Ensure correct inventory levels of materials in line with projected manufacturing requirements.
  • Ensure that health and safety implications are considered when making purchasing decisions.
  • Monitor supplier performance
  • Participate in the coordination of manufacturing changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in the production flow.
  • Management of Goods In
  • Improvement of Stock Turns KPI Inventory reduction.
  • Ensure correction of ISO9001:2015 Supply Chain procedures & adherence to procedure.
  • Coordinate annual stock takes and report on outcomes.

  • Experience of converting a supply base to Kanban with supplier stock holding
