In a nutshell
Reporting into the Head of Control Assurance, this person will be responsible for leading, maintaining and supporting the development of Technical Supply Chain Assurance plans, working with key stakeholders and Supplier Relationship Managers to ensure supplier risks are identified and managed effectively across Sainsburys Bank and Argos Financial Services.


What You Need To Do

  • We want you to manage the development and maintenance of Supply Chain Assurance (SCA) test plans which will be focused on technology related risks, within a mature function
  • You will be responsible for the identification and assessment of risks and key controls within suppliers to minimise the Bank’s potential exposures to technical risks through the delivery of supply chain assurance reviews.
  • You will deliver robust planning to identify key suppliers’ processes risks, and controls create proportionate and targeted testing plans in line with methodology.
  • We want timely, concise, and accurate report writing to convey outcomes of assurance activities to key suppliers, policy and risk stakeholders and SMEs across the Bank.
  • You’ll deliver improvements to the Bank’s overall understanding of supplier risks and assurance activities and support the enhancement and development of communications.
  • We want you to use industry networks to maintain and enhance awareness of market trends and external factors to ensure the Bank has a robust and market-leading approach to assurance of suppliers.


What You Need To Know And Show

  • You will demonstrate a strong risk management, assurance, or control testing background and an understanding of supply chain management and the associated risks.
  • IT based audit/& assurance skills would be advantageous and if possible, an industry recognised qualification focused on IT/IS risk.
  • Working knowledge of at least two of: Information Security, Business Continuity & Incident Management, Information Technology, Records Management, Data Protection and Data Governance areas of risk. Ideally you will have experience in managing under at least one of the following frameworks: COBIT, ITIL, ISO27001, ISO22301, ISO20000 though this is not essential
  • You will have exemplary written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels across the business and with 3 rd party suppliers.
