We have an exciting new opportunity for a Supply Chain Analyst to join our client in Chesterfield.

The successful candidate will be required to analyse streams of data to be able to present a concise outlook of market trends/activity to the Senior Management Team to be able to make decisions in relation to purchasing, stock holdings & Supplier Production Capacity.

Based at our manufacturing site in Staveley, you will play a vital role in driving the business forward and supporting growth. This is an exciting, fast paced role that will have a significant impact on improving our operations, streamlining our processes and ways of working.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Create various Monthly Reports; Order Intake vs Forecast Accuracy, Stock Forecasting & Service Performance
  • Create weekly segment reports of customer order intake for review; performance vs forecast
  • Assist Head of Customer Services & Sales Directors in providing spend reports, service performance & trend information
  • Scrutinise data through Slim4 forecasting tool
  • Work with Logistics to present exceptions to the Head of Operations & Planning
  • Review and present data on Purchase Forecast vs Actual Purchase
  • Lead purchasing requirements against stocked items through MRP
  • Review & set the stocking parameters monthly against historical sales & forward forecasts
  • Provide monthly stock waterfall of forward stock projections per vendor
  • Maintain a clean and accurate system through management of stocked item cards- ensuring all fields on both Item and Stock Keeping Unit cards are accurate and maintained- Parameters to maintain include, Leadtime’s, Vendors, Pricing
  • Set up customer contract lead times, per item, in Microsoft Navision & keep maintained against changing Service Level Agreements
  • Maintain vendor card accuracy and set up new vendor cards through a monthly review
  • Creation of all new stocked item cards through the Master Data Repository
  • Champion system accuracy in customer orders vs incoming purchases/stock to confirm that customer order shipment dates are accurate to maintain the highest possible service through the Warehouse Shipment Report. If they are not accurate, advise the Customer Service team of the changes required & record reasons for future learnings
  • Set up Monthly Sales & Operations Planning Meeting file for the Head of Operations & Planning, & Materials Planning Manager to present to the Managing Director
  • Support the Head of Operations & Planning by providing data & analyse actual vs forecasted savings within the Route to Market

ABOUT YOU:

  • Ability to communicate complex issues and requirements clearly, including making great recommendations
  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain and financial management
  • Understanding of CRM, ERP, Business Intelligence Tools
  • Strong background in data analysis and insight
  • Good data visualisation skills
  • Excellent relationship building and partnering skills at different levels

Monday – Friday 0830-1700.
Friday – 0830-1600
