Supplies / Purchasing Co-ordinator

This position requires a proactive individual to join the Theatre department located at Renacres Hospital, this role is a ‘hands on’ role and will report to the Theatre Manager. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential as is the ability to effectively time manage an increasing workload.

The Role
  • Order stock in line with company procurement policies;
  • Arrange for deliveries and minimise carriage costs in line with hospital activity
  • Receipt stock in a timely and accurate manner
  • Organise the controlled distribution of stock
  • Review and monitor changes in product use and stock levels
  • Perform weekly barcoded stock counts across several locations as required to meet financial compliance/ stock re-order requirements in line with the Hospital’s varying activity levels
  • Perform bi-annual manual stock takes as required to meet financial compliance / requirements
  • To monitor and report supplier adherence to agreed hospital service levels
  • Management of contract compliance, in accordance with the Monthly Savings and Lost opportunities report.
  • Inventory reduction management – in accordance with monthly Stock Holding report
  • Identify cost saving initiatives
  • Review of GRNI (Goods received not invoiced report)
  • Maintain a clean and organised supplies store
  • Undertake other duties as required commensurate with the post.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Commercial and financial awareness
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
  • Appropriate computer skills, particularly Excel and previous use of SAP would also be desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
  • Previous experience in a supplies role is also desirable but not essential
