This role is focused on checking and inputting data received from suppliers, then engaging with the suppliers and the internal team to improve data quality for use by customers. There are over 300 suppliers who will need to ensure their data is accurate and maintained.

Requirements of role

You should should have an interest in managing data to ensure it is accurate and consistent and be a focused, well organised, self-starter with a positive “can do” attitude and strong analytical and computer skills, especially in MS Excel.

You will;

• Take ownership in the input, checking, analysis, gathering and enhancement of data quality

• Strive to ensure that data quality is of a high standard

• Engage with suppliers to provide better and timely data

• Be a good member of the team by being keen, open and enthusiastic

• Proactively look for the next task to be done by being organized

• Report on progress versus agreed targets, highlight challenges and come up with solutions

• Recommend improvements to the system and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Key skills and attributes

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

• Well organised multi-tasker and self-starter, who can work quickly and with minimal supervision

• Good MS Excel (Pivot tables / Vlookup etc.) and Word skills to analyse data differences

• Diligent and resilient, able to see tasks through to completion; tenacious and persuasive in order to ensure others do the same whilst being friendly and professional.

• Good team player

Useful to have (not essential):

• Experience of managing data and media files (images, video, etc)

• Industry product and supplier knowledge

• Experience of using APis

• Experience of using product data to populate websites
