An experienced Subsidence Claims Handler or Technical Property Claims Handler is required to join an established Claims Management Organisation providing a first class Claims Management service to the Insurance Industry throughout the UK, where you will be part of the Specialist Subsidence/Surveying team. You will play an integral part by identifying potential subsidence by gathering evidence such as images of the property to identify any damage such as cracking, sinking etc. You will actively work with all relevant experts including local councils, drainage companies to put together reports, ensuring repairs have been carried out and concluded to settlement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with policyholders on Subsidence and underground pipes claims
  • Validate each claims against the policy coverage
  • Gather documents and evidence from policyholders
  • Identify potential Subsidence claims from evidence provided such as cracks etc.
  • Manage your own portfolio of claims
  • Liaise with various technical experts as well as local councils (if tree roots need removing) and if drains need to be investigated
  • Negotiate settlement of claims both verbally and in writing
  • Arrange for payments to be made within authority levels
  • Deal with recoveries of the claim by chasing ABI Insurer
About You
  • Experience in handling Subsidence Claims or in another Technical Claims Handling role (i.e., escape of water)
  • Extremely customer focused and have a passion for providing an exceptional customer service
  • Good communication skills and experience both written and verbal
  • Be PC Literate with excellent administration skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with good organisation skills
  • Industry qualifications preferred
