Job content

Dermal Technology Laboratory is looking to recruit a proven Study Director to join our team of scientists at our facility located on the beautiful semi-rural campus of Keele University’s Science Park in Staffordshire.

The successful candidate will lead and manage both regulatory and research studies. You will deal directly with our clients and be responsible for the communication and reporting of study data. The role demands a commitment to produce high quality work under defined timelines and a flexible approach to getting the job done.

The critical attribute is a strong background in the GLP management and reporting of studies to a high standard. We are interested to speak with experienced SDs within in vivo or in vitro regulatory toxicology. We are especially interested in people who are looking for a change to their career to share their experience and knowledge with us. You will join an exciting, growing business with a team who are focused on great science and in providing our clients with exceptional service. You will work with our client customers who operate across all industrial sectors from start up to multinational.

As a Study Director you will be familiar with the requirements for conducting studies to GLP and following industry guidelines. An understanding of the science behind in vitro percutaneous absorption would be a benefit but is not essential. We will provide extensive training in the science and work with you to identify and fill your knowledge gaps.

DTL will offer you a highly competitive salary, a flexible approach to working and excellent working conditions.

Our ideal candidate will have:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher within the chemical or biological sciences,

· Experience working in a GLP regulatory environment,

· Experience as a GLP Study Director,

· Extensive experience within a commercial scientific laboratory, with a demonstrable track record of scientific/technical achievements,

· Excellent communication skills.

Desirable

· Experience with in vitro dermal absorption models, and/ or knowledge of the principles and practical aspects of techniques used in percutaneous absorption,

· Knowledge of the use of radiochemical analysis, computers and regulatory processes which encompass GLP,

· Knowledge of non-radiolabelled analytical techniques e.g. HPLC, LC-MS/MS, ICP
