Student Support Role - Personalised Learning Centre (PLC) Coordinator

Temporary Maternity Cover

Grade 6, SCP 12-14 (£20,348.67 to £21,107.10 actual salary)

35 hours per week, term time plus 5 days

Outwood Academy Hasland Hall has been part of the Outwood Family of Schools since 2021 and you will be joining a highly innovative, inspirational and successful organisation. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic and inspirational team here at Outwood Academy Hasland Hall, supporting our students through personalised learning within the Personalised Learning Centre (PLC) at our academy in the heart of Chesterfield. This rewarding position would suit someone who has worked, or who is working, in a school with experience of student learning support and someone who is looking to further progress their career in an educational environment. The role is temporary but during your employment with us, you will still be instrumental in supporting our amazing students by assisting in the creation of a culture of success; ensuring they have a positive attitude to learning to enhance their life chances, attainment and social and emotional development.

We are looking to recruit someone who will join our Inclusion Team to support, stretch and challenge those students who may struggle within a classroom; those who may need personal learning programmes to develop their skills to transition back into the classroom. You will be extremely organised, have the ability to prioritise your workload, have excellent administrative and communication skills. The ability to work on your own initiative and within the Inclusion team is key to supporting our students.

Within this role you will support the Senior Leadership Team, teaching staff and inclusion team in managing the personalised learning of our students via the OGAT Policies and Procedures. You will be required to log, track and analyse the data to provide reports from our on-line system, experience of these tasks will be a benefit. You will also coordinate positive behaviour management and praise, the reflection room and effectively support our students who require assistance in overcoming barriers to learning in order to develop their potential.
