Student Placement Systems Engineer I

We have an opening for a Student keen to learn and gain experience working with insurance industry leaders.

You will be working within one of the most important parts of our business, the CloudOps team, closely involved with developing, building and supporting the IT systems that underpin all of our internal and client facing services.

Your tasks will include:

• Working with both physical, virtual and containerised infrastructure – servers, networks and applications on multiple technology platforms.
• Automation of system configuration Iac, CI/CD, changes and recurring processes.
• Availability and health monitoring of systems and applications (Observability).
• Learning good code development practices following Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Working collaboratively in a tight knit, innovative and friendly team.

You will be heavily involved and learning about all parts of a successful company - from understanding and agreeing specifications with project managers, through designing and building systems to meet that specification, testing and promoting, and finally seeing your work go into the Live environment and directly affecting what we do.
