The role of the Structural Steel Detailer is to take the lead in the preparation of detailed drawings of architectural/Engineering designs for buildings and structures according to specification provided by the design team.

  • Utilising core Tekla features as well as bespoke Tekla components to create accurate 3D models of light gauge steel frame buildings and transfer structures.
  • Producing and checking general arrangements, fabrication drawings and CAM data.
  • Producing erection drawings for each site.
  • Taking a lead role to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Using the Company’s in-house works management systems (training will be provided).
  • Liaising with other staff, customers, and the design team to help ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
  • Developing project specific details alongside other members of the design team.
  • Assisting and training less experienced colleagues.
  • Any other tasks commensurate with this post
