Streaming Research & Development Manager

We are dedicated to enhancing the Streaming performance of BMG’s Catalogue artists and making a lasting impact in the digital world. With the opportunity to collaborate with iconic artists from around the globe, your creativity will be unleashed to revolutionize digital performance on major DSPs like Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, and YouTube. Working closely with the Director of Global Catalogue Streaming and other team members, you will have the chance to develop innovative DSP-based tools and solutions that will shape the future of the music industry.


This 18-month contract position offers you the opportunity to make a lasting impact in the industry while working alongside visionary artists and professionals.

What You’ll Be Doing.

  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Global Catalogue Streaming and the team to develop cutting-edge Catalogue Streaming insight tools using various methods such as internal data, DSP APIs, and industry-wide information.
  • Design and create DSP management tools, including Playlisting management systems, in close cooperation with the International Streaming and Data teams.
  • Identify and develop new reports, working closely with internal Data and Finance teams to provide valuable business and content insights.
  • Work with internal Marketing teams to establish a centralized key event database.
  • Utilize social and DSP data to develop trend insight tools.
  • Partner with the Manager of Streaming Strategy & Playlisting to devise new strategies and streaming databases.
  • Provide Digital Campaign insights to the Catalogue Streaming team, aligning with Digital Marketing efforts.
  • Embrace the opportunity to experiment with your own creative ideas to drive consumer behavior in the digital space.


Who You Are.

  • Extensive knowledge of all major DSPs and experience working with DSP APIs.
  • Strong understanding of metadata, platform algorithms, and their impact on content discovery and monetization.
  • Proven analytics development skills and advanced data interpretation abilities.
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic landscape.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Good knowledge of audience building in a digital environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative and professional approach, capable of working effectively with diverse teams.
  • Passion for music and technology.


It’s also a plus if you have...

  • Experience working with general music industry-related data and analytics tools (Chartmetric, OCC, Nielsen, etc.).
  • Ability to develop complex yet easily understandable project management documentation.
  • Active interest in current design trends and popular styles across social platforms.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in music and/or creative industries, media, or communication.
