Job description

Triple Wimbledon champion Fred Perry founded his brand in 1952. He was the son of a cotton spinner, who played and fought his way through, always with style – and despite the establishment. Today, Fred Perry is a global community of over 370 employees, all inspired by the Laurel Wreath and what it represents.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The prime responsibility is to assist with the management of the day to day running of the shops aiming to achieve optimum profit by maximising sales and controlling direct shop costs.
  • To deputise for the SM/AM in his/her absence.
  • To assist shop managers in all aspects of in-shop stock control including receiving, transfers, stock levels, preparation, and presentation.
  • To demonstrate excellent customer service and promote good practice towards customers combined with knowledge of the product range and its benefits
  • When on duty to manage cash handling, banking, and associated administration, ensuring that all till operations are carried out in line with Fred Perry Operations Manual
  • To be familiar with the contents of the shop Operations Manual, Personnel and Health & Safety polices and regulations.
  • To inform shop managers of any issues or noncompliance regarding all policies and procedures

THE PERSON

  • Available to work 5 days a week, including at weekends
  • Positive, enthusiastic approach to the Fred Perry Brand
  • Great communication skills
  • Organised & Motivated
  • Relevant experience in retail shop assistant management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective teams and motivate employees.
  • Strong initiative and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of basic retail concepts (gross margin, markdowns).
  • Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and changes in strategies.
  • Willingness to set and maintain high standards of performance.
