This is an excellent opportunity to progress your nursing career outside of the NHS with a leading medical devices company. You will work across hospitals within Durham and Darlington providing support with care for patients who require hospital based stoma care.
The Company
A leading medical devices company are currently recruiting for a Stoma Care Nurse to join them on a part time basis. The role hospital based and you’ll be required in hospitals across Durham and Darlington.
- Leading Medical Devices company
- At the forefront of Urology and Stoma Care and have a large number of well-known medical devices in their portfolio
- No unsociable hours
- Part time – 15 hours per week
The Role
As a Stoma Care Nurse you be responsible for;
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised nursing care of the patient with a stoma or fistula.
- Liaise with appropriate hospital staff to facilitate the provision of high quality care to all patients who have a stoma.
- To act as the patients’ advocate,
- To liaise with the community and continuing care teams providing a seamless service between hospital and home.
- To act as an expert resource for nursing staff involved in the care of patients with stoma/ colorectal disease, providing support, guidance and teaching programmes

- Proven post registration experience
- NMC Registered
- Stoma or Colorectal background.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full and valid Driving Licence
