Due to continued expansion, we’re recruiting an experienced Stockyard Team Leader to support the Yard Manager ensuring the stock yard operations are undertaken in a safe & efficient manner. Provide support and guidance to Stock Yard Operatives ensuring the company safety, environmental, quality and service standards are upheld.

Job Duties:

  • Plan and organise daily activities including structuring the team’s individual responsibilities.
  • Ensure completion of tasks and ensure good performance whilst motivating and coaching the team.
  • Operate all MHE within the stockyard.
  • Manage and undertake the loading and unloading of customer and supplier vehicles.
  • Ensure all customer deliveries are accurately compiled & checked against the order.
  • Undertake quality inspections, cycle counts and PI counts as directed by the Yard Manager.
  • Undertake the investigation of stock discrepancies and / or damages.
  • Deputise in the absence of the Yard Manager.
  • Ensure product stored within the stockyard complies fully with health & safety & 5S principles.

Requirements:

  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to deal with arising issues and solving them in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Ability to work flexibly, with the needs of the business.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience of managing a team.
  • Full working knowledge of all aspects of the logistics process.
  • Working knowledge of manpower systems.
  • ILM accreditation or willing to work towards.

Salary: £33,359.00 Per Annum.

Working hours: Monday to Friday / Rotating Days (6am-2pm) and Afters (2pm-10pm).
