What do we do?

We provide our global manufacturing sites with fragrances made from top quality essential oils sourced from ethical and responsible suppliers all over the world. As you might imagine being a global supplier (and the only department of its kind!) is a massive responsibility and it keeps us pretty busy! During FY20 we produced £52 million pound sales. We pride ourselves on providing the global business with a 5-star service with a great team ethic and are on the lookout for someone who can match our energy, enthusiasm and great work ethic to join us. We hope that this gives you enough of an idea about our department as due to the confidential nature of our formulas, we have to make sure what happens in EC’s stays in EC’s!

The role

As a Stock Manager you will be responsible for the total inventory within the EC’s department which at peak is around £6m, ensuring everything is used, handled appropriately and stock rotated. With materials located across 3 different units, you will need to use all of your planning abilities to ensure all the above are thought of and that the room has everything needed to produce each day. System management will be a big part of your day to day as you look to keep things clean and up to date.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Procurement and Creative Buyers to ensure you have everything you need to support the production of the room
  • Book & pick the previous days production and add the info into the production log.
  • Keeping the system up to date at all times, correcting discrepancies.
  • Manage the progressive stock check throughout the month and keep the system up to date prioritising high value lines
  • Stock rotation is of huge importance, particularly with hard to get and high value materials, so working with the floor team on this is paramount
  • Identify any over stock or not in use materials that could reach expiry and work with management and inventors to find solutions to using it up
  • Maintaining Organic area compliance (Materials, paperwork & area itself). Cover off the Organic reviews we see annually
  • Handling the scrap sheets handed in by Compounders and transferring it. Work with and challenge the team to reduce and improve scrap levels using projects. (Vanilla example)
  • Actively pursue better ways of working that enable cost saving, improve handling of materials, increase efficiency, lower scrap and smoother stock checks
  • Collate financial info with the management team and finance looking at areas of improvement

Skills and experience:

  • Production department knowledge
  • Good Computer skills (QAD and excel)
  • Good English – written and spoken
  • Great communication skills
  • Solution focussed
  • Excellent organisational skills along with great time keeping
  • Positive and can-do attitude
  • Can work well under pressure

As we pride ourselves on internal development, priority will be given to candidates who have an in-depth knowledge of Lush, coupled with the relevant experience, skills, and approaches.

Diversity matters

We are building a brand that represents the people of the world. It’s what you do that counts, and we are always looking to expand perspectives and voices to shape our future.

We see you, we celebrate you, we want you!
