COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Qnostics’ core business is focused on the design, development, manufacture and supply of specialised molecular Quality Control products for the use in the in vitro diagnostic industry. Based in Glasgow, Qnostics also works with organisations around the world to provide bespoke solutions within an ISO 13485 complaint framework.

POSITION REPORTS TO:Stock Mgr

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Logistics/Stock Operative to be part of the team facilitating the daily shipment of materials, ensuring that work is carried out to the required standard in the agreed timescales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To support in the preparation of stock picks/shipments and prepare packaging (labelling, boxes, panel packs and bags).
  • To follow stock management and packing processes to ensure consistency and accuracy across all supply chain processes.
  • To accurately support and perform Panel assembly and/or finishing.
  • To support the tracking of stock and shipments, coordinating or escalating issue resolution and provide shipping order status updates against delivery dates.
  • To action and support stock counts.
  • To build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers through all channels of communication.
  • To support the movement of stock ensuring transactions are completed timely and accurately, and that locations and statuses are correct.
  • To maintain and organise the laboratory and equipment used when carrying out the relevant processes.
  • Accurately follow procedures/protocols as required in accordance with the company Quality System, and current departmental plans, and accurately complete all quality documentation as required.
  • Support and assist other members of teams/departments to ensure the effective completion of projects where appropriately trained.
  • To be familiar with and adhere to the company’s Health and Safety Policy, carrying out any duties with due care and attention to personal health and safety and that of colleagues
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as required by Qnostics ltd.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in either stock, transport and logistics planning is preferred but all training will be provided.
  • Attention to detail with “right first-time” ethos.
  • Numeracy enabling effective stock counting
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues.
  • Customer focused.
  • Computer/Systems literate

Priority will be given to individuals with prior experience of stock management or packaging materials in compliance with UN3373 Biological Substance Category B, UN1845 Dry Ice and/or inventory control/materials planning.

OTHER ACTIVITIES:This role may require travel to and working at other operations within the businesses.

SALARY: From £18,500 Dependent on Experience/Age
