We are currently looking to recruit a Stock Control Assistantwho will be responsible for forecasting, co-ordinating and running an efficient inventory level.

What does the role involve?
As Stock Control Assistant, you will process supplier invoices and will be responsible for the daily PSI’s and arranging carriers together with other general administration duties. In this role there will be a strong emphasis on materials and stock planning; the successful candidate will need to develop a close working relationship with the transport planner and manager, internal sales team and other SIG branches to ensure we can deliver a high-quality service to our customer base. In addition, you will be responsible for the forecasting and planning of the stock for the branch and the raising of PO’s and ordering stock.

The successful candidate will require:
  • Previous administration experience, or familiarity with the processes involved with stock control
  • To be organised, motivated, have excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills are essential in this role both orally and written
  • Experience working within a highly pressurised, continually changing environment
  • To be flexible with the agility to adapt to situations which may change at short notice
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Excel
